eSPIN™ Discectomy System

The eSPIN System™ powered discectomy system is intended for use in cutting and grinding intervertebral disc material during discectomy for fusion procedures in L2-S1 spinal segments in skeletally mature patients with degenerative disc disease (DDD). These patients may also suffer from up to Grade I Spondylolisthesis or retrolisthesis at the involved levels.
The eSPIN System™ is intended for use with supplemental spinal fixation systems that have been cleared for use in the lumbosacral spine (i.e. posterior pedicle screw and rod systems).

eSPIN System™ is well suited for (minimally invasive) spine surgery performed with small incisions and offers a predefined, consistent and repeatable procedure.

The eSPIN system™ consists of a set of single use cutting tips, a Headpiece instrument, a motor unit and a set of access and positioning instruments.

The eSPIN System™ has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and bears CE Mark in Europe.
